Surfboard by Torq Surfboards

• In keeping with the original Fish design, this is by far the fastest board in the TEC line.
• The Fish makes surfing down-the-line waves an effortless thrill ride – high line speed and wide eyed grins.
• They have re-worked the design a little with a modern tweak so you can keep all that speed under control with fluid direction changes and smooth rail to rail flow.
• Designed for drawing long arcs on clean waves the Fish’s width and volume also makes it a great choice for more intermediate surfers looking for a shorter board. It’s equally at home in average surf, where the large planning area delivers performance in weaker waves.

Tough Epoxy Composite

TEC Technology

Torq Epoxy Composite offers performance shapes in our vacuum epoxy layup. Vacuum epoxy uses a hand lay-up process, with a vacuum bonding process to bind the fiber to the board and remove excess resin. We have a few tricks in the vacuum process that keeps the resin content at a much better level than can usually be achieved.
The result is lightweight AND durable. The weight is similar to a PU but we have a lot more fiber and more layers to reinforce the rail.
The performance is very direct – TEC has an immediate response that is especially good in smaller or weaker waves. In larger waves the advantage is they are a lot less likely to break.
If you’re used to PU they feel quick at first. After a few surfs, your old PU will feel very slow!
