The Sci-Fi is a mash up of classic curves and modern rocker served with a Futuristic twist of fluid dynamic principles likely found in the design archives of Bruce Wayne. Expect seemingly unnatural acceleration, instantaneous response and an all around level performance that can only be described as Electric. The Sci-Fi is a high performance all-rounder with impressive range (1-8ft ) with usability for intermediate to advanced surfers. 5-fin Option.

Stuey Kennedy set it ablaze at the Quiksilver Pro Snapper Rocks in 2016 and it’s now turned into a forest fire.

Still one of the most popular boards in our line, it’s been challenging to keep this LFT shape in stock throughout 2017. And we’ve taken steps to ensure robust production in 2018.

There are many different stories to tell about the Sci-Fi and varied ways to explain it’s performance, but most of them have already been told or explained and at the end of the day, everyone loves this shape for their own reasons, and thats really all that matters.

It’s a futuristic twist of fluid dynamic principles you would have expected to find in the design archives of Bruce Wayne. And surfers who haven’t ridden one yet can expect shocking acceleration, instantaneous response, and an all-around level of performance that can only be thought of as Electric.

We’ve actually come to think of the Sci-Fi as an anomaly. It’s common with surfboards to find that one person’s favorite is another person’s least favorite. But we simply can’t find anyone who hasn’t enjoyed surfing this shape in LFT.

And that’s why we’re keeping it there in 2018.

CONSTRUCTION

LFT incorporates Firewire’s SPRINGER HD, a 0.75” (18 mm) wide aerospace composite that runs down the centreline of the board, representing the next generation in our SPRINGER technology. The SPRINGER HD runs the entire length of the board and plays a pivotal role in optimising flex from nose to tail.

LFT’s deck skin serves as an additional buffer against the ridging effect that centre stringers create over time, while simultaneously working in tandem with the SPRINGER HD to optimise the overall flex pattern of the LFT technology.

Tough Packaging
We take great care in packing your new board, to ensure it arrives in brand new condition to you.
Typically this involves a heavy duty box, thick foam or several layers of bubble wrap on the rails, nose and tail of the board.
Extra buffers at the top and bottom of boards are added.

Boxes are clearly marked as fragile with bright orange fragile tape.
The contents is flagged to our couriers to ensure extra care is taken.
